The DIGIDEM project has released its official four-page flyer, offering a clear and engaging overview of its mission to foster digital citizenship and democratic participation in higher education across Europe.
Co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme and led by Université Clermont Auvergne, DIGIDEM brings together a diverse consortium of partners from France, Türkiye, Portugal, Malta, Italy, and Luxembourg. The project aims to equip students, educators, and institutions with the tools needed to navigate the complexities of today’s digital world responsibly and critically.
At the heart of DIGIDEM is the development of an innovative curriculum that enhances digital skills, promotes media literacy, and encourages active civic engagement online. Through a combination of interactive resources and gamified learning approaches, the project addresses key challenges such as misinformation, hate speech, and digital risks.
The flyer highlights DIGIDEM’s core objectives, including combating fake news, fostering respectful online dialogue, and empowering students to become active participants in digital democracy. It also introduces NetizenSphere, the project’s interactive platform designed to connect students, educators, and stakeholders across Europe in a collaborative digital environment.
Structured around several work packages, DIGIDEM ensures a comprehensive approach—from research and platform development to curriculum design, implementation, and long-term sustainability. The project also emphasizes advanced digital skills, including cybersecurity, data privacy, and ethical technology use.
With a duration of 36 months (2024–2027) and a strong focus on innovation and inclusion, DIGIDEM represents a significant step forward in integrating digital citizenship into higher education. The newly released flyer serves as an accessible introduction to the project’s vision and invites stakeholders to follow its progress and engage with its upcoming activities.
